President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi Sunday (04/16) visited the Town Hall of Hannover in Germany.

Upon arrival at 17.05 local time, the President and First Lady were welcomed by Mayor of Hannover Belit Onay and his spouse Derya Onay.

At the Town Hall, the Mayor gave the President and First Lady a brief explanation about the city while showing the city’s diorama.

Afterward, the President and the Mayor had a tête-à-tête, and then the President and the First Lady signed the state capital golden book.

In his press statement, the Hannover Mayor expressed his thanks for President Jokowi’s visit and Indonesia’s contribution as an official partner country for this year’s Hannover Messe.

“I again want to express my deepest thanks to you, Mr. President, for your remarkable contribution of Indonesia as a partner country for the success of the Hannover Messe. The commitment of Indonesia is particularly appreciated,” the Mayor remarked. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (DH/MMB)
