President Jokowi Visits Monument to the People’s Heroes in Beijing
During his working visit to People’s Republic of China (PRC), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo visited the Monument to the People’s Heroes at Tiananmen Square in Beijing on Tuesday (10/17) to present a floral tribute.
Upon arrival at around 10.45 local time, President Jokowi stood in front of the wreath while listening to the national anthems of both countries.
Afterward, the President followed the wreath that was being moved to the front of the Monument to the People’s Heroes.
When the song “Flowers to the Heroes” finished playing, the President tidied up the wreath ribbon and paid his respect, then headed to the vehicle lineup to leave Tiananmen Square.
Joining the President on that occasion were Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir as Ad Interim Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Indonesian Ambassador to PRC Djauhari Oratmangun, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Beijing Brig.
