The Indonesian government feels uncomfortable and annoyed with ads that have the words “Fire Your Indonesian Maid Now” by a private company in Malaysia. Minister of Manpower, Hanif Dakhiri and Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Herman Prayitno have expressed the strong protest against the adverts which harassing pride of Indonesia.

Minister of Manpower, Hanif Dakhiri claims to have coordinated with the Ministry of Manpower Malaysia, related to adverts of cleaning tools manufacturer of RoboVac, and the Malaysian said that would be assisted to solving it.

Starting on Thursday, President Jokowi Pay a Visit to Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) according to the plan starting on Thursday (5/2), will make a state visit to the three ASEAN countries, i.e. Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines.

“I have an agenda of bilateral meetings with Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines starting on Thursday, but on Monday (9/2) I’ve been back to Indonesia,” said President Jokowi after opening the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) the Emergency of Drugs 2015, at Bidakara, Jakarta, Wednesday (4/2).

In this three-day visit, First Lady Iriana, as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi will accompany the President. Deputy Foreign Minister M Fachir Abdurachman previously said that the visit to these three countries is the first official visit of President Jokowi to friendly countries.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) held a consultation meeting with leaders of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD-RI), at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (2/2). The consultation meeting of DPD leaders and President Jokowi is the first time since leaders of the DPD-RI 2014-2019 period, inaugurated last October.

DPD Chairman Irman Gusman said, consultation meetings held to discuss the strategic agendas of both institutions, in an effort to smooth the central and local government relations, Draft Law, Plus Special Autonomy for Papua and West Papua.

Moreover, Irman Gusman said, one-hour meeting also discussed the laws of the village, the acceleration of infrastructure, construction of the smelter PT. Freeport Indonesia, as well as a plan to amend the Constitution(UUD) 45, in an effort to strengthen the presidential system.

After visiting Ngawi Regency, East Java (Java), President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo directly proceed to the village of Sonorejo, Sukoharjo, Central Java, Saturday (31/1) afternoon, to deliver aid of thousands of tractors free of charge to local farmers’ groups.

Accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture Amran Solomon and Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo, President Jokowi said that the assistance of 6,082 units of hand tractor was not really free, but there is a target that is to increase production.

The president said that he would oversee the production target of rice in Central Java, because later after being given another of tractors, given more fertilizers, more seeds, this province should be able to increase production to 2 million tons.

The Government Require Every Regency/City Should Establish the Joint Office of SAMSAT

In order to implement the provisions of Article 67 Paragraph (4) the Act No. 22 of 2009 on Traffic and Transport, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on January 19, 2015 has signed a Presidential Decree No. 5 of 2015 on the Implementation of One Stop Integrated Administration System (SAMSAT) of Motor Vehicles.

According to this regulation, SAMSAT aims to provide services Registration and Identification of Motor Vehicles, taxes payment of motor vehicles, and Compulsory Contribution of Traffic Accident and Transportation Fund (SWDKLLAJ) which integrated and coordinated with fast, accurate, transparent, accountable, and informative.

The service scope of Samsat include: a. Registration and Identification (Regident) of motor vehicles (Ranmor); b. Taxes payment of motor vehicles; and c. SWDKLLAJ payment.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked all heads of representatives of Indonesia abroad to be able to translate the government’s priority issues, among others, the protection of citizens, territorial integrity, and economic diplomacy.

President Jokowi submit the request to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, AM Fachir at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (30/1), to report on the readiness of the Work Meeting of the Foreign Ministry with all representatives of Indonesia abroad. As planned, President Jokowi will give a briefing and open work meeting that will take place in Jakarta on February 2, 2015.

“The meeting will discuss the main issues, namely sovereignty, economic diplomacy and the protection of citizens, and good government,” Fachir said.
