President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo, on Friday (1/2), distributed 253 waqf land certificates in Ngawi, East Java. This amount is part of 7,700 certificates distributed by the Government in East Java Province. In his remarks, the President said that the distribution of the certificates is carried out in order to avoid more land disputes.

As part of an effort to preserve Indonesia’s historical sites, the Government will revamp Fort Van den Bosch this year, popularly known as Pendem Fort, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said. The fort – measuring 165 meters x 80 meters with an area of ??15 hectares – is located in Pendem Village, Ngawi Regency, East Java.
