The Indonesian Government on Tuesday (17/3) confirmed 38 new infections of covid-19, bringing the total confirmed cases to 172. The Government’s spokesperson on covid-19 Achmad Yurianto reported that the additional cases mostly came from capital Jakarta, East Java province, Central Java province, and Riau Islands province.

In a bid to slow down the spread of covid-19 outbreak in the country, the Government has extended the disaster emergency period until 29 May 2020. The outbreak of the corona virus has become widespread and caused fatalities, property losses, psychological impacts on the society, and disrupted people’s lives and livelihoods.

In a bid to tackle the coronavirus outbreak and to slow the spread, Cabinet Secretariat provides influenza virus vaccine for all its officials and staff, starting from 17 until 20 March 2020. The schedule of the vaccination is as follows:
