The Government has announced it will provide incentives on gas pricing for industries, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said. The measure to reduce gas prices, she added, will certainly affect the State Budget; thus it should only be given to companies with good performance, she added.

Presidential Regulation Number 40 of 2016 stipulates that eight industrial sectors are entitled to new gas price, according to Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita. According to the Minister, Ministry of Industry has proposed 88 companies to be entitled to the gas price of US$ 6 per mmbtu.

The Indonesian Government on Tuesday (17/3) confirmed 38 new infections of covid-19, bringing the total confirmed cases to 172.
