President Prabowo Receives IHPS I of 2024 from BPK
President Prabowo Subianto received the Audit Result Summary of the 1st Semester (IHPS I) of 2024 from Head of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Isma Yatun, at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (January 2, 2025). The summary revealed various findings and efforts to improve state financial management during the 1st semester of 2024, including evaluation of the central government financial management.
Based on the 2024 IHPS I, BPK granted unqualified (WTP) opinion for Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) of 2023, including 79 Ministry/Institution Financial Reports (LKKL) and one State General Treasurer Financial Report (LKBUN). However, four LKKLs were given Qualified (WDP) opinion, namely, Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and National Food Agency.
BPK also extended its appreciation to the Government for the good cooperation in supporting good governance principle, especially related to budget management during the transition period of forming Red and White Cabinet. In addition, BPK also expressed its appreciation for Regulation of Minister of Finance Number 90 of 2024 that regulates the procedures of budget and assets use during the transition period, and the appointment of ministries/institutions that carry out budget implementation of the 2024 fiscal year.
“BPK expresses its appreciation to the Government for the good cooperation to jointly realize the goals and aims of the nation that based on good governance,” Isma Yatun mentioned in her press statement.
During the occasion, Isma Yatun also explained the progress that has been achieved by BPK at the international stage, including its role as external auditor in various international organizations, such as special agencies of the United Nations and UN Panel of External Auditors. In order to strengthen Indonesia’s role at the international stage, BPK implored President Prabowo to give support for BPK’s nomination as member of United Nations Board of Auditors (UN BOA) of the 2026-2032 period. The nomination process will be carried out in March 2025 and decided by UN General Assembly in November 2025.
