The Government has announced four super prioritized tourist destinations out of the 10 prioritized tourists destinations (dubbed as the 10 New Balis). The four tourist destinations are Lake Toba in North Sumatera province, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara province, Borobudur temple in Central Java province, and Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara province.

The Government will accommodate campaign promises made by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo before the election in the 2020 State Budget, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said. The Minister added that the 2020 State Budget also aims to support development programs outlined in the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan.

The number of poor people in Indonesia as of March 2019 is recorded at 25.14 million people, or decreases by 530,000 people compared to that in September last year, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has reported. It added that compared to the same period last year, the figure drops by 800,000 people.
