In an effort to provide health services for recipients of the national health insurance program, President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo on 7 October 2015 signed a Government Regulation Number 76 of 2015 on the Amendment to the Government Regulation Number 101 of 2012 on Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) of the National Health Insurance Program.

One of the highlights of the Government Regulation is Article 11 on the change in data of Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) of the National Health Insurance Program. Previously, it was regulated that the change can be done by:

After having a phone call with Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan at 10:30 a.m local time on Monday (26/10), at Blair House, Washington DC, US, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo decided to shorten his state visit to the US and head back to Indonesia in order to lead the handling of haze disaster in the country.

Based on the conversation on the condition in Central Kalimantan and South Sumatera which affected by the haze, President Joko Widodo said that the hot spots are mostly found in South Sumatera and Central Kalimantan. There are 366 hot spots in Central Kalimantan and 146 in South Sumatera. The President also received the reports about hot spots in other areas.

President Jokowi Sets Up Task Force to Fight Illegal Fishing

By taking into account that facts that violations and crimes in the fishery sector, particularly illegal fishing, are already at a very alarming level, President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo on 19 October 2015 signed a presidential regulation number 115 of 2015 on Task Force on Illegal Fishing.

The task force, which is directly responsible to the President, is tasked to develop and implement the operations of law enforcement to fight illegal fishing by optimizing personnel and operational equipment owned by the Ministry of Maritime and Fisheries Affairs, the Indonesian Air Force, the Indonesian National Police, the Attorney General Office, the Maritime Security Board (Bakamla), the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas), state-owned gas and oil company PT Pertamina, and related institutions.
