Related with the dollar, President Jokowi expressed optimism and confidence, because if compared with other countries, in fact our situation is much better. “For many months, we just depressed approximately 5.8 percent. Malaysia has lost many foreign exchange reserves but also their currency is not strengthened,” Jokowi said when received Hipmi board ranks at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (6/4) afternoon.

Oil entrepreneur who is also Chair of Medco Group, Arifin Panigoro, met President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (6/4) morning. However, the meeting was not to discuss the issue of oil, but related on agriculture.

According to Arifin, President Jokowi gives positive response to the mechanization of agriculture with modern rice field system. Even, according to the plan at the next visit to Papua in early May, the President will review the location being a trial development of modern rice fields in southern Papua.

“I’ve reported all to President, I also will invite to harvest there,” Arifin Panigoro said.

A total of 110 Indonesian citizen (WNI) who were evacuated from Yemen has arrived at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta, Sunday (5/4) afternoon. The arrival of 110 citizens who are the first part from 262 citizens who managed to get out from Yemen to Jizan, Saudi Arabia, a few days ago were welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi.

Foreign Minister, Retno Marsudi argues that the security condition in Yemen, particularly in the western part of Yemen around Aden city and Sana’a has become increasingly serious. Armed clashes between warring parties increasingly widespread.

“President asks what needs to get support, especially how to develop tourism,” said Arif told reporters after meeting with President Jokowi, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Thursday (2/4).

Arif explained, Garuda would continue expand to overseas to boost tourism, especially to strengthen flights to China and then Maldives. In addition, Garuda will also keep reinforcing to Europe, and will make Europe as a base for future the growth of Garuda as a global player.

The Request of BNPT, Ministry of Communications Block 22 Radical Sites

The Government through the Ministry of Communications and Information block 22 sites/ websites accused associated with radical movements.

Head of Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Communications and Informatics Ismail Cawidu said, the blocking is done after his side received a request from the National Agency for Combating Terrorism (BNPT).

“Initially the Ministry of Communications and Informatics has blocked 3 (three) sites, but BNPT reported again to block another 19 sites based on the letter No. 149/ K.BNPT/3/2015 on site/Website Radicals,” Ismail said as quoted from the site www.kominfo .go.id, on Tuesday (31/3).

Based on the request,  Ismail said, Ministry of Communications asked the organizers of the Internet service provider (ISP) to block 19 websites in accordance with the submitted BNPB as assessed the site/website mover radicalism and/or sympathizers radicalism.

“So far, the participation is very high. Indonesian Embassy in Cairo Denies that Egypt Arrest Indonesian Students

Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (Embassy) in Cairo denied the rumors that spread among the citizens of Indonesia (citizen) and social media, that the Egyptian security apparatus arrest some Indonesian students when conducted raids.

“Until now, there has been no reports of citizens who were arrested”, said coordinator Protocol and Consul Indonesian Embassy in Cairo, Nugroho Yuwono Aribhimo in Cairo on Sunday (29/3).
