The new capital relocation to the island of Kalimantan will be officially announced in August this year, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said. “The new capital will be located in Kalimantan, yet the exact province that will host the new capital will be announced in August,” President Jokowi said Tuesday (30/7).

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (29/7) inspected the construction of Muara Port in North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra province. Muara Port is one of twelve ports to be built in the Danau Toba’s National Tourism Strategic Area. The construction is targeted to complete next year.

The Government is scheduled to begin civil servant selection in October this year, the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) has announced. “We need around 254,173 civil servants, including around 100,000 civil servants (PNS) and 100,000 government employees with agreement (P3K),” Head of the BKN Bima Haria said on Tuesday (30/7).
